Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organized “Walk for H.M. the King of Thailand”

            Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organized “Walk for H.M. the King of Thailand” on 8th April 2011 in Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2011. The activity witnessed over 300 participants comprising Thai nationals and their families residing in the UAE. 

             The Walk took place on the Corniche, one of the major roads with recreational and public activity zone in  Abu Dhabi. During 09.00 – 09.45 hrs., H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, led the participants on a 3 kilometer walk between the starting and finishing point which exhibited H.M’s portrait and various accomplishments to all including the pass by general public. 

              On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador paid highest homage to H.M. the King for His lifetime devotion to Thailand’s development as well as the well being of the Thai people and invited all participants to join in singing the Royal Anthem.    

This activity has proven to be successful and served all its purposes especially to emphasize the significance of the Monarchy in Thailand as well as the power of love and affection of the Thai nationals towards their King who is always regarded as “Father of the Nation”.
